Edged Show Auriculas first appeared more than 250 years ago as a result of a mutation where the normal flower petals were replaced with a structure identical to that of the leaves. Depending on whether we have an absence, a small amount, or a heavy coating of farina on these ’petals’ we have the Green, Grey and White Edged Auriculas of today.
